Dog House Design

We have people ask all the time about barrel setup for dog houses. So this is a few pictures of what we use. Put a good bed of shavings in them and dogs stay extremely warm. I have checked my dogs after coon hunting on nights as low as 8 degrees and they are warm as toast.

Simple Barrel House That allows the dog plenty of room and with the door at the top of the barrel, it allows a thick bed of shavings for the dog to lay on in the winter.	This is a side view of the same house that shows the flat roof with over hang. This allows the dogs to lay on top in the sunshine during the summer, and the overhang keeps uneaten feed from getting wet when it rains.
You can also attach the same type house to a smaller type board for smaller built dogs like this one shown above.	This is our basic design for whelping boxes. These boxes are equipped with heaters for winter, a box fan for summer, and they are free standing so they can be moved if need be.
